Giving

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe

Hebrews 12: 28

Harvest Appeal 2021

This year, our Harvest Appeal is incredibly special to us. Your donations this year will be split between nine different projects, in mission and in ministry, following the commands Acts 1:8 and Matthew 25. It marks the start of a new journey for us as a church as we begin tithing 10% of all our Free Will Offering donations, which we will continue to donate to these nine projects.

These are uncertain times for us all, but God’s Kingdom cannot be shaken. Life may be very different, and we respect that your financial situation may have changed dramatically amid this pandemic. However, if you are still able to support our ministry and outreach during these times, we would be thankful for your regular donations. The most effective way to contribute financially to the work of our parish is through a Free Will Offering (FWO) number which allows us to keep a record of giving and keep you updated on how it is spent. If you do not already have a FWO number, please contact Mark Bailey (0789 6271564 or via email). Mark is the Parish FWO and Gift Aid Secretary and he would be pleased to advise on any aspect of financial giving to the Parish. For those who would like to give online, there are two main ways: Standing Order and PayPal. We are also aware that the above options may not be suitable for everyone. Therefore, if you would like to make other safe arrangements in relation to your giving, or if you have any questions, please do contact Mark Bailey – 07896271564 or Judith Kinnen – 07544544181.

Instructions for setting up a Standing Order

The preferred route is to set up a Standing Order to pay your chosen amount each month. This method of giving has become increasingly important over the past year and many of you have already moved over to standing order rather than weekly envelopes. This option aids the vestry and their financial planning for the church and should hopefully help individuals with managing their giving too. Most banks allow you to set up a new standing order via online banking or via telephone. You are in full control of the standing order and can stop or alter it at any point by contacting your bank. Specific instructions can be found below. You will be asked for some information during the process, including our bank details:
  • Account Number: 81023357
  • Sort Code: 95-03-71
  • Bank Name: Danske Bank Lurgan
  • Account Name: Magheralin Parish Church
  • Reference: Please use your name and your free will offering number e.g. Joe Blogs 021
Although not recommended at this time, you may also post your filled in standing order form to the parish office.

Specific Bank Information

One Off Donations

Bank Transfer

One off donations and donations for specific fundraising events (e.g. Gift Day) may also be made using Bank Transfer.

The bank details are exactly the same as for Standing Orders above. Please also include your name, purpose of donation and FWO number in the reference.

PayPal

Alternatively, we can also take donations on a one off basis via PayPal. To make a donation you do not need a PayPal account, please choose “use a card” instead of logging in. If you are a parishioner, please add your Free Will Offering Number in a note.

Please note that PayPal charge an additional 1.4% + 20p on transactions. This means the full amount you donate will not be received by the Parish. You may click “I’d like to add to my donation to help offset the cost of processing” to donate your intended amount to us if you’d prefer.

Gift Aid

Whichever way you give, if you are a UK Taxpayer, you can also complete a Gift Aid Declaration form that will allow us to claim an additional 25% on your donation. Simply download the form below and return to Mark Bailey via email or the Parish Office.
