In February each year under the constitution of the Church of Ireland a revision of the Register of Vestry Members is carried out. The review meeting this year will be held on Tuesday 16th February 2021.
The register is open for review and will remain open until the 16th February. It is not necessary to register every year. To check whether your name is already on the register, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07544544181 and we will check for you.
Being on the Register of Vestry Members, enables parishioners to vote at the Annual General Vestry in parish elections. Registered members of the parish along with officiating members of the clergy constitute what is known as the general vestry.
If you are not already on the register and are a member of the Church of Ireland who is at least 18 years old, attends church in our parish and contributes to parish funds in a way which is receiptable, then you are eligible to be registered.
Because of the situation with Covid-19 the main way to register this year is by completing the relevant form attached or by requesting a form to be posted to your home address, using the details above. Completed forms must be signed and returned to the parish office, 3 New Forge Road, Magheralin, BT67 0QJ, at the latest by 7pm on the 16th February but preferably by 12 noon on that day.
