The Parish hall refurbishment has been completed, the hall has begun to be used again and has been formally reopened.
It was great to see Bishops Harold Miller and Ken Clarke share in the opening ceremony with Ken Gibson from IFI. The many stands and displays helped showcase what a welcoming hall we have in Magheralin.
We are delighted to have had such positive feedback about this major project. If you have not yet taken the chance to visit and explore the hall you are encouraged to do so. Parish organizations are already enjoying the benefits of increased storage and the new rooms created by clever use of space. But we also hope that the new warmer, brighter facilities will enable the parish’s mission and ministry to reach out to more and more people in the parish.
The opening morning allowed us to express gratitude to the many who worked behind the scenes to make the project – the architect and contractors, the small steering group and those who have supplied grant funding – the International Fund for Ireland administered through the Rural Development Council.
Thank you too to the patient parish organizations whose programme was disrupted in the autumn term.
