In February each year under the constitution of the Church of Ireland a revision of the Register of Vestry Members is carried out. The review meeting this year will be held on Tuesday 10 February 2026.
The review of the register is open from 10th January and will remain open until 10th February 2026 at noon. It is not necessary to register every year. To check whether your name is already on the register, please email office@magheralin.church or call the parish office on 028 9261 9569 or ask a churchwarden.
Being on the Register of Vestry Members, enables parishioners to vote in parish elections at the annual Easter General Vestry. Registered members of the parish along with officiating members of the clergy constitute what is known as the general vestry.
If you are not already on the register and are
- a member of the Church of Ireland who is at least 18 years old,
- attends one of the churches in our parish i.e. Magheralin or Dollingstown and
- contributes to parish funds in a way which is receiptable, e.g. by standing order, or using freewill offering envelopes then you are eligible to be registered.
To remain on the register, it is important that you continue to meet all of the criteria noted above.
You can register by completing the form below or by getting a form from the Rector, a churchwarden or by requesting a form to be posted to your home address from the parish office. Completed forms must be signed and returned to the parish office, 3 Newforge Road, Magheralin. BT67 0QJ or by email to office@magheralin.church , at the latest by noon on 10th February.
